Washington State Women's Commission

The Washington State Women's Commission is a government-appointed commission that works to advance the status of women in Washington State. They address a range of gender-related issues, including those intersecting with race, and strive for gender equity and social justice.

Seattle King County NAACP

The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

You Grow Girl!

 You Grow Girl! is a nonprofit organization serving female-identifying youth and families throughout Washington State. You Grow Girl works toward a vision to create a safe forum for girls in the foster care system to tackle their fears and insecurities, build self-confidence, and be surrounded by peers and adults who are supportive.

National Organizations


Women of Color Automotive Network (WOCAN)

"The automotive industry represents a significant opportunity for financial wealth, career advancement, and entrepreneurship. Yet, there is a low representation of women of color in the industry, particularly in positions of power and influence. Women of Color Automotive Network (WOCAN) was founded by four successful women in automotive who seek to attract, connect and empower women of color in the automotive industry."

The African-American Policy Forum (AAPF)

The AAPF engages in national initiatives and partnerships, including work in Washington State. They focus on addressing structural inequality and advancing intersectional feminism, with a particular emphasis on the experiences of Black women and girls.

SisterLove

SisterLove is a women's health organization that specifically focuses on the needs of women of color. They provide education, advocacy, and support services related to sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and overall wellness.

Empower Women of Color NTX

WOC Empowered is an organization that aims to empower and uplift women of color through mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. They offer workshops, events, and resources to support the personal and professional growth of women of color.

Global Fund for Women

The Global Fund for Women is a global grant-making foundation that supports women's rights organizations and movements worldwide. They prioritize funding for organizations working on gender equity and social justice, including those led by and for women of color.

Women of Color Network

Women of Color Network (WOCN) is an international organization that aims to eliminate violence against women of color. They provide training, technical assistance, and resources to promote leadership, advocacy, and healing for women of color survivors of violence.

Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF)

WILPF is an international women's organization that advocates for peace, justice, and gender equality. They actively work to address issues related to racial discrimination, militarism, and gender-based violence impacting women of color globally.

Black Women's Blueprint

Black Women's Blueprint is an international organization that works to amplify the voices and experiences of Black women and girls. They focus on issues such as sexual violence, reproductive justice, and economic empowerment, advocating for policy changes and social transformation.

Caribbean Association for Feminist Research and Action (CAFRA)

CAFRA is a regional organization that focuses on promoting gender equality and women's rights in the Caribbean. They work to address issues affecting Caribbean women, including discrimination, violence, and economic disparities.

Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women

The CSVANW is an international organization that advocates for the rights and well-being of Indigenous women and girls worldwide. They address issues such as land rights, cultural preservation, and social justice, recognizing the unique challenges faced by women of color within Indigenous communities.
