Critical Race Feminism
Critical race feminism is a theoretical framework that combines critical race theory and feminist analysis to examine how race, gender, and other intersecting identities intersect and impact systems of power and oppression. It recognizes that race and gender are not separate or isolated categories, but rather intersecting axes of social stratification. Critical race feminism highlights how various forms of discrimination, such as racism and sexism, are interconnected and mutually reinforcing. It emphasizes the importance of addressing both race and gender in efforts toward diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by recognizing the unique experiences and struggles of individuals who face multiple intersecting forms of oppression.
