Locate a book in the library
A call number is used to locate materials in the library. Call numbers are organized by subject, so similar subjects will be found together on library shelves
- Find a book in the library catalog
- Write down the call number
- In the library, check out a map to see where books with different call numbers are located.
- Find the labels at the end of each row of books. These labels show which call numbers are in that row.
- Use the call number labels to find the book.
